Life, it just happens
Recently I have gone through some life changes and the best thing I can do is to accept them.
Michael and I are moving back to North Carolina to be there for our families. I didn't realize how hard it was to be there for them when you're 5498253 miles away from them. I didn't realize how many things/events/holidays we missed because we are so far away. One thing I did realize is that every minute counts when you're with your family.
For those of you who don't know, I moved to California for a promotion and to start a new chapter in my life. I'm not going to lie it sucks to move and start back at the beginning. I keep telling myself, sometimes you have to take a step back to take two steps forward.
I didn't realize how big of an impact I made on my Cali friends or what they've done for me. I am for sure going to miss everyone.
To my wonderful team: It breaks my heart that I am leaving you guys because each and every one of you changed my life in some way. You guys have taught me SO much about myself as a leader, mentor and as a person. You guys may drive me nuts, but it was always in a good way. The last 8 months have been the most rewarding months ever. You all have changed my perspective on my career. You guys each shaped me into the person I am today, it sounds cheesy, but it is true. I am always here for you guys if you ever need anything. #DREAMTEAM
To Mikaela: My first assistant and my first friend in Cali!! I am SOOO thankful for you and I honestly don't know how I could have survived the last 8 months without you. You are one of most supportive people I have ever met. Michael and I are so thankful to have great friends like you and Pat. Thanks for always down to do anything! We are going to miss you guys! Please come visit us whenever you can!!
To Leiah: My 2nd assistant! LOL. I am going to cherish our friendship forever. You are such a strong person and I give you props for having the strength to deal with everything you have going on. I am lucky to have met you. Thank you for always being a shoulder to lean on! I will miss you and Jesse!
To Tay: My 3rd assistant!!!!!!!! Haha. Okurrrr. I don't know what all to say because the last 3 months have been crazy. Keep doing what you're doing. I value you as a leader and as a friend. You taught me a lot and I can't wait to see you grow with your career. I am always here when you need me. I will miss you and your crazy self. I appreciate everything you have done for me. Me and the team can't THANK you enough.
To everyone else: We have made so many friends, we are sad that we are leaving you guys. We will miss you all! Our time in Cali has been short, but we will come back and visit!
I promised myself to not get too down about it. I know that whatever God has planned for me, it is good. I just need to be patient and follow the plan.
Michael and I value our families and miss them very much. Family comes first always and so does our mental healths. We have to take care of ourselves as well as them.
I will get to where I am meant to be, eventually.
Thank you for reading. I hope if any of you are going through any life changes, please don't be sad. Honestly, accepting change is good. It is the process that helps us grow.
Much love. xoxo
