New Year, Better Me

Happy New Year loves! I hope you guys are feeling refreshed and rejuvenated because I am. 2018 is going to be the best year yet, I can feel it.

Now, I know everyone is going through the whole new year, new me. I stopped myself and said "wait, I don't want to become a new me. I like who I am. I just want to be a better me." That is exactly what I'm going to do. As I mentioned in my previous post, 2017 was a tough time for me, but as the year was ending, I finally got some things figured out. I want to continue those things as well as try some new things. I wanted to share some of my New Years resolutions with you guys. Resolutions that I told myself that would be more practical and realistic.

I want to:

To be more family orientated. I love my family. I miss them every single day. I'm such a busy person, sometimes I forget to call them or text them. I told myself that I will make an effort to call or text at least once a day. I think I'm doing okay so far since I was able to fly out to Vegas to see my grandma, aunts, uncles and cousins!

Learn how to budget, budget, budget! I'm getting older and I'm finally getting my life together. Michael and I want to be able to save money in order to buy a house. I want to be able to take that next step and feel financially stable. That means less shopping trips, less food trips (tear, I'm such a foodie) and just being financially smart. I use to create an excel spreadsheet of my bills and see how much extra money I have to splurge. I think I'm going to go back to that because it helped a lot.

Be physically and mentally healthy. I need to get back in the habit of working out. Not meaning muscle gain or anything. I just want to be back to my original weight and start eating better. I love yoga. Hot yoga is a lot of fun! I also want to get back into reading. I love to read when I have the chance. So if you guys know any good thrillers/mystery books, send them my way!

Learn to be more of a social introvert. Some of you guys know me, I love to be around people. As I have gotten older, my social circle has gotten smaller. I am okay with that. The one thing I don't like is passing up fun opportunities to meet new people. It's hard for me because I constantly talk to people all day at my job, so when I go home, I just want to relax. I need to be better about that though. I'm only 24. I need to learn how to balance both. So sleep during week nights and live life on the weekends. Haha

Attend as many concerts as possible. Although, I said I need to budget more, I still want to have fun! I want to attend as many concerts as possible. Michael and I love seeing different artists. We love going to concerts together. It's fun to say we got to see so and so together.

I had to limit myself to the top 5 resolutions. I need to be realistic and hold myself accountable!

Jumping into the New Year with this cute outfit. I don't know what it is but I am loving the pajama silky top trend. This top I'm wearing can be a transitional piece for a day outfit to a night look.

I'm not usually a fan of anything with studs, but these cute BLANKNYC jeans were too cute to pass up! It added the right amount of bling to my outfit.

I added my black leather vest to the look as a third piece. Plus I wore my Kate Spade cross body, Michael picked it out for me! It's a cute night look if you're going out to the bar for some drinks or to dinner with your friends!

Hope you guys had a wonderful new year! Can't wait to see what this year will bring! #2018
